Back peddling, back stabbing stretching the truth or just downright lies. It makes me wonder how something as delicate as bringing to light the Nazi treatment of detainees, or to put it bluntly the concentration or death camps. Phantom has of course denied that the scene depicted was intended to be a “Nazi Concentration Camp“” as the announcer so clearly states in the G4 video preview of the game. Instead Phantom or 8 Monkees (who ever is taking credit) stated it was an error that was strictly the fault of G4 that it is in fact a Russian POW camp. G4 in the meantime has failed to answer emails or return calls.
If my Grandfather John Hollis were still alive today I would ask him who the people in the striped pajamas were representing, and to remind me again what the numbers that were tattooed on his forearm meant.
Maybe it is just me, maybe I am too sensitive, maybe if we are quiet long enough it will be ok, maybe next year we can buy and sell slaves in a video game, or fly a plane into a crowded building in downtown New York. I think it is time someone said or did something.
How far is too far, how much is too much? Shame on Microsoft for allowing this type of game to be sold on the 360 gaming platform, shame on parents for allowing their children to buy this trash, shame on us for not speaking up.

there is ALOT more evidence than the G4 Video. There is an interview by the prosident of PhantomEFX a few years ago with the reporter stating there is a SHOCKING place that will be visited in the game and that it totally fits the name of this game. And also Amazon has the wrods Concentration Camp on one of its pictures of the game and more… It was definately supposed to be a concentration camp and new they are trying to get it covered up probably because of a stipulation from Microsoft befofe ok’ing the deal.

I so think that if the scenes are not changed the game should be axed period.

It’s a shame that more people won’t take a stand on this

Phantom doesn’t care about much of anything except themselves. It’s no surprise that they don’t care about this either. To remove the scenes would cost the company money. Do you think they are going to want to spend anything to delete these scenes? It’s too bad they didn’t think before they inserted something like this into their game. However, since this is a company, that most of the time demonstrates that it does not care much about its paying customers, why should it be concerned about the feelings of customers as well as non-customers who would take offense at these scenes. As for Microsoft, maybe letters should be sent to the company’s administrators so that they can take a closer look at those scenes. I also wonder who beta tested these games and didn’t they even think that these scenes were inappropriate. A concentration camp and all the atrocities that go along with that whether it be Russian, POW, extermination (Jewish, Polish, homosexual, anyone who spoke out against the Nazis) does NOT belong in a computer game.
At least the reviews of the game have not been positive, for the most part.
